On our first day we set out exploring Istanbul on our own. (Just a little 15 km walk). We grabbed a taxi to Taksim (the central square) and started to make our way back to the hotel via the main shopping streets which were crammed with people. The kids were fascinated by the Turkish Ice Cream vendors, but Debbie was clearly focussed on more serious fare. Turkish Delights were everywhere much to Debbies Delight.
