Cape Reinga is world renown for its monster sand dunes.  Located on the west side of the penninsula, these dunes reach incredible heights and steepness.  Climbing them is a challenge.  Descending them is a blast!  To put things in perspective the tiny tiny black dots on the far dune are people!
