New Zealand : Napier
We have had any number of road impediments here in New Zealand, ranging from sheep to rock slides, ice and now rain! After 36 hours of some of the heaviest rain we have ever seen, the roads north from Wellington were flooding and under water. Once again we made it through by the skin of our teeth. The water was well past the doors in this section. The main highways were closed down shortly after we passed and the flooding persisted for several days stranding numerous drivers and farms. |
