Lake Taupo is also home to some world class fly fishing and Brian just couldn't wait to hit the rivers.  It seems like there are hundreds of rivers here, all with spectacular pools and huge numbers of fish.  The rainbows here can get up to 10-12 lbs!  Check out Brian's black eye from sledging.
