This photo sums up the big rapid.  It was 500 meters long.  Huge wave after huge wave.  The last 100 meters dropped over 3.5 storeys.  Brian is on top here, taking a line along the canyon wall (right, like that was intentional!!!).  The guide (white helmet) is some 5 feet below Brian on the bottom side of the wave.  Some of the waves here were over 8-9 feet tall!  The drop finished off with an 8 foot descent into a pool.  The first thing Brian did was look around for Brennan who was considerably shaken, but not stirred!
