The Cascade Brewery established in 1824 is the oldest in Australia.  Tasmania is dominated by two brands of beer and everybody drinks one or the other.  There was Cascade from the south and Boag in the north (only slightly younger).  Not surprisingly Brian tried both extensively during our stay here and has decided that he is definitely a Boag man!
