Australia: Northern Territory
Other than a couple of wallabies and some lizards, the first appreciable sign of wildlife that we saw were the millions and millions of spiders and spiderwebs strung out over the entire park. These things weren't small either. They averaged the size of a hand! The park was just coming out of the wet season which meant that most of the bush was inaccessible, the conditions where these guys thrive. |
